ABOUT TIME BAND FORMS
2024 started with a bang for Linda Lamon’s new band ABOUT TIME.
Performing Linda’s original multi genre songs, the four piece features Dave Nolan on lead guitar, Andy on bass, Fran Johnson on drums, with Linda singling lead vocals and playing rhythm guitar.
After recording four albums since 2021 and releasing her latest single Venus Shine On in 2023, the singer-songwriter was asked to play some gigs, but she had no band.
” I’d been so busy writing and recording songs that I’d had no time to rehearse performing them live, but I was very fortunate to have friends who came forward to help out.
We called the band after my first two albums ABOUT TIME 1 & 2, which were named because I thought it was about time I got round to recording all the songs I had written over four decades.” Linda said.
The band, which performs both original material written by Linda and cover songs that includes Motown, rock’n’roll, pop & rock is now performing mainly in the North West of England.
Next performance is on Sunday, February 25th at The Spinning Top, Stockport, SK4 1AA at 5pm.
Watch out for Linda’s latest album, due to be released early summer 2024. It will feature country style original tracks.
